Sara and I spent a week at the Weston Playhouse working on "Loving Leo". It was so gorgeous and inspiring I also wrote a new song cycle called "In The Garden Of Earthly Delights" with Czeslaw Milosz's poetry (rights pending).

Leslie Kritzer and Andrew Schufman performed songs from MITMOAW and our new show Loving Leo on Monday January 11th at Feinstein's at the Regency for the annual Gersh Agency Showcase. It was a huge success!

Come hear selected songs from Memory Is The Mother Of All Wisdom at the Lower East Side Festival at Theater for the New City! We'll be playing a 10 minute slot on Memorial Day weekend. Details to come!

Memory Is The Mother Of All Wisdom (Book & Lyrics by Sara Cooper, Music by Zach Redler) is a comic tragedy about the troubled relationship of a Mother (62) who has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and her estranged Daughter (31) who moves back home to Brooklyn to take care of her. MITMOAW was developed at the Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. (Special, special thanks to Sarah, Fred, Donna, and Mindi!!!) Also SPECIAL thanks to Brittney Borgstedt and Alissa Wyatt for singing for us! (It's their lovely voices you hear on the recording!)
The show will be premiered at the GMTWP on April 28th, 2009. Futhur performances will be announced after this date!
